Cancer Quotes

Cancer quotes and sayings of encouragement and hope for cancer patients, survivors and their loved ones. Cancer affects us all. When someone we know hears a diagnosis of cancer the world stops for a moment. All thoughts and concerns go to that person and the journey they are about to undertake. I know how it feels to be diagnosed with cancer. It happened to me in 2003 when I was told I had a lethal form of leukemia. I think my friends and family needed more comforting than I did. It is my sincere hope that anyone facing that ordeal finds comfort in these words I’ve collected.

The most sacred place dwells within our heart, where dreams are born and secrets sleep, a mystical refuge of darkness and light, fear and conquest, adventure and discovery, challenge and transformation. Our heart speaks for our soul every moment while we are alive. Listen... as the whispering beat repeats: be...gin, be...gin, be...gin. It's really that simple. Just begin... again.
Royce Addington

The future you see is the future you get.
Robert G. Allen

True hope dwells on the possible, even when life seems to be a plot written by someone who wants to see how much adversity we can overcome.
Walter Anderson

I take nothing for granted. I now have only good days, or great days.
Lance Armstrong

If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them.  When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope?  We have two options, medically and emotionally:  give up, or fight like hell.
Lance Armstrong

Some days there won't be a song in your heart. Sing anyway.
Emory Austin

William S. Burroughs

Joseph Campbell

Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.

Cancer is a word, not a sentence.

It is a fact of life that we find ourselves in unpleasant demoralizing situations which we can neither escape nor control. We can keep our morale and spirits high by using both coping and hoping humor. Coping humor laughs at the hopelessness in our situation. It gives us the courage to hang in there, but it does not bring hope. The uniqueness of hoping humor lies in its acceptance of life with all its dichotomies, contradictions, and incongruities. It celebrates the hope in human life. From one comes courage, from the other comes inspiration.
Cy Eberhart

Pessimism never won any battle.
Dwight D. Eisenhower

The test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in mind at the same time and still retain the ability to function. One should, for example, be able to see that things are hopeless and yet be determined to make them otherwise.
F. Scott Fitzgerald

Obstacles are those frightful things we see when we take our eyes off our goal.
Henry Ford

One of life's best coping mechanisms is to know the difference between an inconvenience and a problem. If you break your neck, if you have nothing to eat, if your house is on fire, then you've got a problem. Everything else is an inconvenience. Life is inconvenient. Life is lumpy. A lump in the oatmeal, a lump in the throat and a lump in the breast are not the same kind of lump. One needs to learn the difference.
Robert Fulghum

It is difficult to say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow.
Robert H. Goddard

A belief is only a thought that you keep thinking. So as you keep thinking this thought, you keep vibrationally attracting relative to that thought. So you confirm your own beliefs again and again and again and again and again. That’s why someone who believes in cancer can confirm that belief, or someone who believes in robbery can confirm that belief. So everything is a sort of confirmation of belief.
Abraham-Hicks
